The garden on the water
The garden follows the shore with citrus trees, palms and agaves, and from the boat you see the villa and its terraces with Varenna's coloured houses next to it.
Villa Monastero is a former convent turned villa in Varenna, on the eastern shore of Lake Como, with a botanical garden that runs for almost two kilometres along the water. It is open to visitors with its own tickets. Our Grand Lake Como and full-day tours pass in front of it and can stop in Varenna.
