Villa Monastero and Varenna

Villa Monastero, in Varenna, was a convent before becoming a villa, and its garden runs along the shore. From the boat you see the whole front and the village around it.

02

The route

From Laglio and Nesso the tour heads north past Villa Pliniana and Torno, Villa del Balbianello and Isola Comacina, Villa Carlotta, then Bellagio, Varenna and Menaggio. With this much time, the pace is slow and the captain shapes the day around you.

A shorter alternative

Grand Lake Como covers almost the same places in 6 hours for €1,350.

Good questions.

Is there time to stop in a village?

Ask when you book: on a tour this long the captain can plan stops with you.

Can we visit Villa Monastero?

The tour shows the villa from the water. Visiting inside is separate and follows the villa's own opening times.

What is included?

A local captain, fuel and prosecco.
